Who we are

Audio Playground (“we”, “us”) operates a rehearsal studio at 8c Bassett Court, Newport Pagnell, MK16 0JN. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. For any privacy question, call 01908 904 101 or email bookings@audioplayground.co.uk.

What we collect

When you create an account and book a session we collect:

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • Optional band details you choose to add (band name, members, genre, notes).
  • Your booking history, loyalty-stamp balance, and the date/time you agreed to our terms and health & safety notice.
  • A record that payment was taken. Card details are handled entirely by our payment provider (SumUp) — we never see or store your card number.

How we use it

  • To manage your bookings and send booking confirmations.
  • To operate the loyalty-stamp scheme.
  • To send the door code and essential information about your session.
  • To keep a legally required record of agreed terms.

Our lawful bases are performance of a contract (your booking) and our legitimate interest in running the studio safely. We do not use your data for advertising and we never sell it.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies only — they keep you signed in and protect the booking process. We use no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with the services that run the site: Supabase (secure database & login), SumUp (payments), Resend (booking emails), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data on our behalf under their own agreements. We also operate CCTV on the premises for everyone's safety.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and account records for up to 6 years to meet tax and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account sooner — see below.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to your data, correction of anything inaccurate, deletion, or a copy in a portable format, and you can object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details above. You can also update your band details or delete your account from your account settings. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
